Dear Guests and Friends,

Merry Christmas to you all and thank-you for your support this year.  We hope you all get to spend it peacefully with family and friends wherever you are in the world.

To the surprisingly large number of guests who managed to visit us this year, it was amazing to meet each and every one of you. We are so glad you enjoyed our beautiful Zim, we really do think this is the best country in the world…. To those who were prevented from visiting us this year, keep the faith, all will be well when we finally get you to the banks of the Zambezi holding a beer, or exploring the remote parts of Chizarira or Gonarezhou, or Save, Nyanga, Chimanimani, Hwange, Matobo, Kyle, the list goes on…. We will outlast this thing and make it happen soon enough.

This last weekend I had the privilege to take part in the Sky Run in Nyanga National Park, 56km of trail through pristine rainforest, mountain grassland and crystal clear gushing streams. Being hopelessly undertrained I had plenty of time to ponder Zim’s geographic diversity as I staggered down the trail. One minute we were wading across a steamy jungle river, the next we were on the summit of Zim’s highest mountain.  The same day we could have driven to Gonarezhou and seen the big 5 under the Chilojo cliffs. To us, it is this diversity of unspoiled geography, along with the unrivalled friendly people that makes Zim the ideal country for your type of person doing our type of Safaris.

2021 has been a year of learning and growth for our team. We continue to refine our vehicle layouts with sponge matrasses replacing inflatables to avoid letting you down at night! We are adding flexible solar panel support for the fridges in the hotter months. We have also added three more Landcruiser 70 series to our fleet for the longer-term trips and perfected our fancy pumped shower system on these vehicles. All our vehicles now have Old Man Emu shocks and suspension and we look forward to keep learning and moving the game on in 2022. We have our prime campsite bookings in place for 2022 and are all set to make it happen for you.

We wish you and your families a great Festive Season, come back stronger and more courageous than ever to enjoy our world fully in 2022.
