Multi-night Kariba & Matusadona Safaris on stable, silent game-viewing sailing catamarans.
Perfect for private self-drive groups of 2-6 guests/boat. Start and end at our private beach in Kariba or Warthogs Camp shoreline. Your skipper will lead you aboard our purpose-built Catamaran yachts. You will sail the open water and Matusadona shoreline viewing elephant and other animals on the grassy shores with optional game-drives and walks in Matusadona directly from the boat.
This is a hands-on adventure for active people who have no problem living in board shorts and sarongs for a few days (Kariba is balmy year-round). Two cabins and a spacious deck sleep four comfortably, six if there are children.
This is a participatory trip, you will be expected to help sail the boat under the guidance of your very experienced Skipper, this is half the fun, so get stuck in and enjoy it. A proper old-school Zimbo holiday, huge fun for the right type of guest.
We can exclusively arrange midwater “Rock-star” transfers from the catamarans to and from the Kariba Ferry for our Arrive & Drive vehicles.
- Sailing & route subject to weather conditions at the sole discretion of the Fleet Admiral based on their assessment of current and forecast weather, (these are seldom adverse in the dry season). Plan B is camping at Warthogs Bush Camp (we have yet to ever activate plan B).
- Have a few beers but if you are planning a huge binge, rather take a houseboat!
